Paesaggi Naturali Veneto

Veneto is the area with the most diverse landscapes in the whole of Italy. From the border with Austria to the mouth of the Po, the region boasts a vast variety of natural scenery. For this reason, Veneto pleases everyone when it comes to holidays or day trips: from mountain and trekking enthusiasts to those who prefer to relax on the beach.

In this article, we take you on a journey to discover the most beautiful Venetian landscapes! Do you know them all?

Dolomites (UNESCO heritage)

Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Dolomites extend over a vast territory, rich in breathtaking views. Take, for example, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo: 3 obelisks of limestone rock that turn pink at sunset.

For hiking enthusiasts, we recommend visiting Passo Giau, always a destination for tourists and cyclists who climb to the top to take characteristic photos. Prefer a leisurely stroll? Val di Zoldo, with its flat terrain, is the perfect place for a family outing.

Cansiglio Forest – Memorable flora and fauna

Foresta del Cansiglio

Continuing our itinerary among the most beautiful landscapes of Veneto, let’s delve into the Cansiglio Forest. Here, you can immerse yourself in greenery and fully breathe in the scent of nature. With a bit of luck, you might even spot some wild animals. Cansiglio is indeed the natural habitat of roe deer, deer, squirrels, and hares.

Euganean Hills Regional Park (with thermal area)

In the heart of the Venetian plain, conical hills suddenly rise: they are the Euganean Hills, a series of volcanic formations dating back over 40 million years.

Within the Park is also the thermal area of Montegrotto characterized by green valleys, woods, and vineyards, offering endless opportunities for hiking or cycling.

Lake Garda – many breathtaking views

If you want to admire all the beauty of the lake Garda from above, we suggest taking the Malcesine cable car, which reaches 1800 meters in just a few minutes to Monte Baldo. From here, the view will be spectacular: the blue of the lake merges with that of the sky in a unique panorama that leaves you breathless.

Po Delta Regional Nature Park – the mouth of the Adriatic

In the southeastern part of Veneto lies the Po Delta: a spectacular mouth on the Adriatic Sea that offers natural landscapes like few others. The area is indeed the habitat of almost 300 species of birds (including flamingos), 50 species of fish, 40 species of mammals, and more than 1,000 plant species.

With its 120 km² surface area, the Park offers multiple scenic viewpoints accessible on foot, by bicycle, aboard small boats, and even on horseback. Since 2015, the Po Delta has been recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and has been committed to promoting sustainable tourism ever since. Just like we do at Pra’ delle Torri!

Venice Lagoon – a collection of invaluable heritage

At the top of the list of the most beautiful views is certainly the Venice Lagoon. In addition to having great historical and cultural significance, the lagoon has immense biological, faunal, and floral heritage.

The territory is also a great point of interest for its characteristic landscapes. The colors of the “barene” change drastically with the passing of the seasons, life flows slowly and peacefully on the islands of the lagoon, while on the uninhabited ones, nature grows wild.

The Venice Lagoon enchants in every small detail, and there are so many places to visit that one day wouldn’t be enough. To not miss any details, stay at Pra’ delle Torri Holiday Center: from here, you can easily reach the Lagoon and visit its beauties whenever you want!
